I had the pleasure living in Austin, TX for a while and I fell in love with Outlaw Country Music, Drinking Hot Toddies, and enjoying the Texas 2-stepping Culture.  I liked to meet local whiskey distillers there and create friendships and partnerships in which we could make all sorts of delicious Bourbon Pastries that we could pair with hot Toddies, Old Fashions, and honestly anything we liked!  Bourbon, apples, and caramel is one of those combos that you can never let go of, and I always like to bring back in the Autumnal Season - especially when I can get amazing local apples and whiskey in Colorado!  These hand pies are my favorite for a small breakfast while cooking Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. It's the little pre-dinner pie snack!
